Policies

In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:

 

Cancelation Policy:
24 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice or not show to your appointment (no call, no show), you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. A card is required to hold your appointment for this purpose. If for any reason we do not have a card on file the amount must be paid in full prior to your next scheduled appointment. Also, to book future appointments you may be required to pay in advance for the session you wish to book, non refundable after the 24 hour notice required has expired. 

Same day cancelation If making an appointment and need to cancel on the same day you will be charged a minimum of $25 up to 50% charge of appointment. You may cancel up to two hours before your appointment on same day. This is acceptable up to two times within 30 days before our normal cancelation policy is implemented.

Trading or giving appointments If you the client have arranged for someone else to take your exact place on the schedule, (meaning same therapist, same time length, same type of massage), no extra charge will be added for trading. Only the initial charge will be made, either by you or the new client, if the new client so agrees.

Arrivals Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment, in order to fill out your intake form and for consultation. No need for more than 10 minutes, unless otherwise directed. 
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, if at all, you will be responsible for the “full” session amount. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other clients, please plan accordingly and be on time. Thank you for understanding and being considerate.

Exceptions We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. If you have further questions about the policy talk to the owner. In the event of an emergency, proven documentation can be provided of incident for full refund, ask us what documents are accepted or for more info. 

 

Payments: Payment is due in full at or before the time of your scheduled appointment. We accept cash and debit or credit cards. Our cards are processed by Square. We accept Visa, Master Card, AX, and Discover.

Checks we do not accept checks at this time.

 

Scheduling and Walk-Ins: Calls will be returned in the order they were received to keep the booking process fair.

Walk-Ins are not accepted at this time. An appointment booked at least a day in advance is recommended. 

 

Children  The Spa is a place of tranquility and relaxation, so please make arrangements for child care as children are not allowed during your services.

Guests are not allowed to come in the room with you (exception for our policy on minors).

 

Policy On Minors

Under the age of 18 years must have a parent or legal guardian signature of consent. 16 years of age and under must have a parent or legal guardian in the room at all times. We may not accept 16 and under if an appropriate size room is not available. We may not accept minors if the LMT working that time does not accept minors. NO phones, recording devices, music players, etc are allowed in the treatment room.

 

Gift Certificates are no longer available as the Texas department of licensing and regulation, (TDLR), has changed the expiration date policies mandatory for the massage therapy industry. You may now book an appointment for someone to be held to the same and normal appointment policies. You may now receive an appointment card, instead of a gift certificate, to present to the person you purchased an appointment for which will include their name, your name, the type of service and the date & time of the appointment booked! 

 

Gratuities are always appreciated but left to the client's discretion. Tips are never automatically added into anything without your permission. The average gratuity is generally based off of what type of treatment session you received and the length of time. 

 

Privacy We do not sell or give any customer information to any third party services or sources other than Square who we process credit card payments through, and book appointments through. You can read their terms on their online sites. Your information is kept only for the purposes and uses of Valerie's Massage Spa.

Electronics Phones are to be put on silent upon entering the building. No Phones or any electronic media devices are allowed in hand while on the table. Cameras are not allowed at all. Phones can be set near you if you may need to be reached in case of emergency, but not in hand. If you pick up your device while in session the therapist will stop your session while your time is still running. 

 

Please remember to keep your voice down when entering the building for consideration and respect of other clients. The spa is a place for relaxation and tranquility. If you ever have any questions at anytime please feel free to ask. 

We retain the right to refuse service to anyone at any time. These policies may be updated at anytime.
